Apple Watch and health integrations
Health and Watch features are optional. You can use the rest of Cleanpull without granting health access.
Train with Apple Watch
Section titled “Train with Apple Watch”The Cleanpull Watch app is a companion to the paired iPhone app. Open it to start or resume your prescribed strength workout, then log reps and weight from your wrist.
During the session, the Watch can show the current exercise, rest countdown, live heart rate, and active energy. Finish the session and its check-in on the Watch; the result synchronizes through the iPhone.
If the Watch temporarily loses its phone connection, it queues lift logs and sends them when the connection returns. Keep the iPhone app available until Cleanpull confirms that every set from the Watch is on the phone.
Use the iPhone Live Activity
Section titled “Use the iPhone Live Activity”While an iPhone workout is active, the Live Activity mirrors the current exercise and rest countdown on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Tapping it returns to the active workout. It ends when the session ends or there is no exercise left to log.
Import body weight from Apple Health
Section titled “Import body weight from Apple Health”In the iPhone app:
- Open Settings → Apple Health.
- Choose Enable Apple Health sync.
- Grant access to body-weight data in Apple Health.
Cleanpull checks the last 12 weeks of readings and saves new readings to your Cleanpull account. The latest reading updates the body weight visible to coaches in workspaces where you are an athlete.
Turning sync off stops future checks but keeps readings already saved. To revoke Apple’s permission, open the Health app, tap your profile picture, and find Cleanpull under Apps or Devices.
Import body weight from Health Connect
Section titled “Import body weight from Health Connect”In the Android app:
- Open Settings → Health Connect.
- Choose Enable Health Connect sync.
- Allow Cleanpull to read body weight.
Cleanpull imports the last 12 weeks and then keeps new readings current. If Health Connect is not set up, use Install Health Connect, finish setup, and return to Cleanpull. If you previously denied or revoked access, choose Open Health Connect to change the permission there.
Save completed workouts to health
Section titled “Save completed workouts to health”Cleanpull saves each finished session as a strength-training workout in Apple Health or Health Connect. Other apps that import workouts from the same health store—such as Oura or WHOOP—may use that record instead of detecting the session themselves.
To stop workout sharing, turn off the Workouts permission for Cleanpull in the health store. This is separate from Cleanpull’s body-weight sync switch.
